This worksheet is a reading, listening and writing practice all in one. Students read, listen then write about themselves. The worksheet has an answer key.

To make this worksheet more challenging, I have developed an “Information Gap & Critical Thinking” activity. Instead of just identifying facts, students will have to analyze Jasonโ€™s routine and apply the vocabulary to new contexts.


Activity: The Roadieโ€™s Life โ€“ Analysis & Application

Part 1: Logic & Sequence

Below are five statements about Jasonโ€™s day, but they are mixed up and contain one factual error each based on the text. Correct the error and then number the events in the order they happen (1โ€“5).

  • [ ] After the concert, Jason goes straight to bed because he is tired.

Part 2: Vocabulary Context Shift

Complete the following sentences using the words from the text (roadie, typical, operate, miss, tour, journey), but be carefulโ€”you must change the form of the word (e.g., plural or verb tense) to fit the sentence.

Imagine you are Jason’s boss. Write a short Job Advertisement for a new roadie. You must include:

  • Two things they will like about the job.
  • Two difficult things they should expect.
  • The skills they need (mentioning a school subject).
